I had a concrete block fall into my pool. Yes, you read that correctly. It got windy the other day, so to help hold the cover down I decided to lay some 30lb. blocks around the perimeter of the cover on the deck portion. One of them got tossed into the pool as the wind was laughing at my feeble attempt at victory.
I have a slow leak now, and I know that there's not a whole lot that I can do until spring. However, my concern is the water level. If there's nothing in the pool, the walls are just as vulnerable as they are with too much weight on top. I'm going to just remove the cover to help prevent that damage, but what can I do for the inside of the pool? Keep adding water for another 2 months until time to fix the liner? What if we get another wind storm?
