Getting dead algae (I believe) on the seams of my pool. I vacuum to waste. I have a sand filter. Pool is all clean and clear. After half hour or so the algae or whatever it is comes back. Any answers? Thanks in advance

Probably the dead algae is suspended in your pool water and sinks slowly and accumulates in the seams. However, that probably also means you have live algae that causes what you are seeing.

A SLAM process is perhaps called for but a complete set of test results is needed to be definitive.......we're kinda' guessing without them.

It also doesn’t accumulate as much or as fast with the pump turned off

Well, no. We use a process called SLAM to get rid of algae permanently. We never "shock" a pool.

Here's more info
