Air in System

Hello TFP'ers!

In recent days I've noticed that when my system fires up in the morning, there seems to be air in the system: the pump struggles a bit while priming, a surge of air gets pumped into the water, then things normalize and everything looks and sounds normal for the remainder of the day. But the next morning, the abnormal start-up process repeats itself.

How does air enter the system when it's off (if that's what's happening)? Any ideas what could cause this, how I ought to trouble-shoot?

THANK YOU.

Sounds like you have a very tiny air leak somewhere on that equipment pad. When the pump goes off, the system tries to equalize and pull air "IN" to the system. Check every fitting, air relief valve, seal, etc. Pump lid O-ring, drain plugs, etc. Leave nothing to chance and you might find the culprit. Happy hunting!
