Advice on length of time to commit to SLAM

You have an above ground pool so the steps are suspect number 1.
Be sure to remove them & clean them inside and out. Or get someone else to remove them until you can get them cleaned.

Okay. Thanks. I'll try looking at that. Maybe I will backwash and add more DE this weekend too. There is no ladder in the pool and we removed the skimmer door. Also, I checked my CYA for the first time in 18 days at it's down from 40 to 30. Of course, I don't know when it went down, but I could have been adding too much chlorine at some point.
