Adding a SWG Questions

Hello, first want to say how helpful this site has been. I inherited a pool a few years ago and over the past few months have taken over caring for from a local maintenance company and it has been crystal clear the whole time. My pool sits in the sun most of the day and I am going through quite a bit of chlorine in the summer and am interested in getting a SWG installed and had a few questions.

I already have Omnilogic automation so does that mean I would only have to purchase the cell below (not the one that comes with the separate control box).

Would I also need to purchase the hayward flow switch? I am having trouble finding that online, would anyone be able to point me in the right direction on where to purchase it?

Finally, in the attached pics where would be the best place to install it? Do you think it would require additional plumbing?

Yes, you just need to connect the T-15 cell to your OmniLogic panel.

The cell needs to go after your heater output and should be the last device into your pool returns.

Your pics do not clearly show the heater output to pool return area.

Do you have a spa?

Thank you for responding so quickly. I do have a spa. Based on the arrows on the heater I have marked up how I believe the water flows. I have circled in red where I think the valve for the pool/spa/overflow valve is. I have also circled in yellow my best guess is to put the cell. Let me know if you think otherwise.

You are probably correct..

I can’t see the return diverter and the pipes connected to it well enough to confirm.

It may be to your benefit to plumb in a heater bypass when the SWG is installed.
I see there is already a check valve in the return line after the heater.
