A little concerned...

Ready to close. Temp has dropped. Tested yesterday at 0930 FC 6.5 CYA 40. Added 1 bottle of 8.25% bleach which should add 8 FC. I tested at 1800 and got FC 11. Clearly needed an OCLT and got FC 8.5 this AM, which is a fail. I have not had a single problem all year and the FC has not dipped below 3-4 that I am aware of. So now a SLAM? Water looks emaculate, as it has all year.

So you added 1 gallon 8.25% in the morning 9:30am and tested at 6:00pm?
- what was the weather condition during the day... sunny?
- what the condition of the bleach being added, is it really still 8.25%?
- so looking like possible drop from 14.5 (6.5 + 8) to 11?

I don't see an issue with that, since chlorine is best to be added after sunset and you really don't know if the gallon added 8ppm of FC?

1 gallon. It was partly sunny and the bleach is great value bleach says 8.25% sod hypo, but yields 7.86% available chlorine. I was concerned about the OCLT dropping 2.5. The sun was almost down at 1800 but it was cloudy and this am I tested before sun came up.
