Skimmer hook up

just ordered a skimmer to install on a 22X52 intex pool. wondering if i can cut my hole where my return is and use my old outlets as the new returns? This would change the water circulation, is that an issue? put the intake on the left and the returns on the right.

The skimmer really needs to be installed somewhere on the downwind area of the pool, so your normal airflow over it will aid in sending the debris to the skimmer.

For your returns, I don't think it makes much difference where they are. If you install adjustable eyes, you can direct the water whichever way works for your pool.

Thank you got the skimmer today going to install tonight. The prevailing winds blow right towards where i want the skimmer thanks Again. Will re-post to let you know.
