If you search "big green egg" in the search box in the upper right hand corner of this page it will pull up several threads about ceramic cookers.

I use a Primo oval XL. Same type as a BGE. I just didn't want green in my kitchen and I like the oval. It's better suited for long pieces of meat.

I ended up getting the Kamado Joe Big Joe. Was just wanting to get some grilling chats going. I must say nothing beats a pool and a ceramic cooker.

I haven't gotten the cyberQ yet. Honestly I can keep it at 225 for 12 hours without adjustment and can't justify the expensive gadget.

I like my 16 oz. Ribeye medium to medium rare. When are you going to invite me over to test out how well your cooker makes a steak?

We have a big Memorial Day party. Last year we had 80 people (40 of whom are kids), 27lb brisket (13 and 14 at same time), 15lb chicken, 10lb sausage, and 25 hot dogs. All but hotdogs cooked on the Primo.

..yeah, yeah, I realize they are efficient and versatile and now that you've destroyed my size-argument, I'm at a loss. I'll have to focus on bashing the automatic Traegers (sp?) now!! At least the ceramics still use wood/charcoal.

    Re: grilling

I have a Vision Grill. It's almost exactly the same dimensions and capability of one the green ones, except for 1/3 to 1/2 the price. Come see me over at Kamado Guru, same handle.

Yesterday I did a small cook, about 8 pounds of country ribs and then I smoked 2 canadian bacons

THis was new years.. Kalua Pork, with and without banana leaves.
