SWG recommendation

Best is relative. One of the most common units and a good value is the Aquarite T-15. It's rated for up to 40,000 gallons and would be a good match for your size pool. You should be able to find online prices in the $850 range. It is made by Hayward and is sold under a couple different product names.

I have been using one for about 10 years now. I had to replace the cell after 7+ years of use, $400 and back in business. Other than that, I have replaced the flow switch once ($50) and I just had the input resistor fail ($3 and some soldering). That makes my chlorination cost average $60 per year. My pool is about the same size as yours, but is open year-round.

I vote for the AquaRite. I think that it's a good swg. I especially like the diagnostics that allow you to verify that the unit is working properly.

The Jandy AquaPure is also a good swg.
