Thread: bleach % on pool calculator....

    bleach % on pool calculator....

    I usually set it to 8.25%, because that is the bleach i use (Great Value from Walmart) However, I just noticed on the bottle under the 8.25% it actually says: "Yields 7.86% free chlorine."

    do I put in 8.25 or 7.86? does the pool calculator account for the yield or does it assume the % put in is the yield?

    Partially buried Doughboy Desert Spring 16 x 32, sport pool, with 7 ft deep middle, 20,000 gallons, Hayward Powerflo Matrix 1.5 HP 2 speed pump, 250 lb sandfilter, 2 Doughboy skimmers and 2 returns. 2 cascade fountains.

    I've been told to use the 8.25% for pool calcs.

    Equipment: Hayward Super Pump (1hp), Cartridge Filter
