I backflushed a pool and added new water and now the snakes don't move.

I backflushed a pool (for too long) and I had to add new water. I have it on filter now but the snakes don't move. What might be wrong?

I am going to guess that by snakes you mean the tubes that attach to the walls and swing around? My old 70s pool has the holes for them, but I have never actually seen a picture of the "snakes" ... certainly would be interested in seeing a picture / video of them in use.

Backwashing and filling up with water should have not affect on them working. Is the pump primed? Did you change any valves? Is water flowing?
