It just seems like it will never end. Dumped in 12 boxes and added some acid and swept it all together and then added the rest and swept some more to get it all dissolved and now waiting to do some balancing. http://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/4655-So-you-want-to-add-borates-to-your-pool-Why-and-How

Wow. For $130 I sure hope it works. I'm kidding. I do it to my pool and it does make a difference and is worth the expense imo.

Did mine last Saturday, love the clarity of the water and the rebalancing was very minimal when using the recommended amounts. While it is still early my pool tended to increase in Ph quickly and it hasn't move a bit since adding borates. Hope your experience is good as well.

Welcome to the forum Wdhart !!

The good thing is from here on out it's just keeping tabs on it's level and adding a little once in a while to make up for backwashing.
