    Best pool toys for kids?

Our pool is almost finished and I want to get some fun toys for my 8 and 10 year old. Any suggestions on the best, must-have pool toys? Thanks!

My 6 your old and friends like the pump style squirt guns. Some have a cartridge and there is the bazooka type that just suck up one dose and shoot.

    Welcome!

Pool noodles are a must. So are squirt guns if you have boys.

Check the 99 stores. This time of year they usually have an aisle full of masks and squirt guns and inflatables that you won't get mad about when they get destroyed.
16K freeform gunite with spa; Pentair 4000 DE filter; Century Whisperflow 1 HP; Pentair Minimax heater.
Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.
A pool is like a pet - you have to feed it every day, even the days you don't want to play with it!

Kids and adults of all ages seem to love throwing squishy balls in the pool, sort of like these, but note these are mini-versions shown about actual size on my notebook computer screen http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks for the suggestions. I am hoping to find something novel and different than all the toys we have had in the past but I also want something that is tried and true and isn't going to be a huge bust or waste of money after 5 mins of playtime. These are some good ideas.

Second vote for a Toypedo. It is the #1 thing used by adults and kids in our pool. I am actually going to buy a few more. Anything underwater really brings out kids wanting to go underwater more which helps their swimming skills I believe.

Third vote for the Toypedo. Hubby and son and scout group played with one at scout camp last year. Said they had a blast with it. They played with it and swam for 3 1/2 hours during some free time. We purchased one for use in our pool and have played with it some, but because our water is still not crystal clear it becomes as much of a search and find mission as it is playing with it. I can see how it will be a blast once our water is cleared up.

I bought some squishy balls and I had some small toypedoes so I ordered a couple larger ones. Great suggestions!
