hayward heatmaster

Hi
I have a hayward heatmaster that i haven't used in a number of years. I am going to sell the home and opened up the cabinet and there are packrats inside. They have a nest and have eaten up the wires. They have also made a serious mess of the rest of the inside. Is it worth the cost of cleaning/fixing or would that cost be close to that of a new unit?

thanks

Without seeing it in person it will be hard to say. It also depends on who is doing the repair. If you are having a pool tech do it I doubt it would be worth it. It may be best to remove the unit and plumb it as if it were not there.
