    CYA test

So I got the Taylor K-2006 test kit & just did the CYA test

After I added the R-0013 agent & shock the sample it never clouded up at all

So safe to assume I need to ad CYA ?

    Thx

    Re: CYA test

    Yep.

Don't assume CYA is exactly zero, it could be 0-5 (or perhaps a little higher) and still not be visibly cloudy. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of.

Yea, pool store or the pool department at a big box store. Several people have been recommending WalMart recently.

    CYA test

I've noticed the Walmart HTH brand of stabilizer is 96% CYA. last time I got it from Leslie's, and it's 99% CYA. It also dissolved pretty fast in cold water.
