I'm replacing my pump with an Intelliflo VS and I see at least three 90 degree elbows that can be removed in the process. Is it worth the $40 in pipe and fittings to replumb?

Sure, given you are doing some plumbing anyway, it is well worth a little extra for some optimization.
Are you using gold pipe? 
that seems like a lot of money given how cheap PVC and fittings are.

I came up with about $52, this doesn't include the 2" SCH80 CPVC Union Male Adaptor fittings to the pump since I'd need those anyway. Please take a look at my parts list and let me know what you think. thanks
