Motor making new noise; bearings?

I'm not positive but I think your diffuser is shot. It should have a brass ring.

Check under images and you'll see what I mean.

Also how does the impeller look?

Sorry to rain on your parade.

Just picked up a new one. You are right, the brass ring was shredded on the old one. Impeller looks good. Will try reassembly tonight.

Great. Hope the rest of things go well and no more hickups.

Nope! New one doesn't fit. Exact same part number but holes don't line up right. Just barely off. Here are pictures of the impeller. I only hand tightened the impeller, and the new screw is on tight and it spins. If I hold the shaft with a wrench and tighten impeller more, it barely spins. And barely by hand from the back shaft. Not sure what to do at this point.

Check then length of the new screw with the old one, if the impeller is slipping. I think it will tighten down more cause its reverse threaded.
For the diffuser I'm not positive but think it only goes on one way. You've got to spin it till they all line up.

I will look at both of those when i get home. I have the old screw still and will spin the diffuser and see if ever lines up.

Ok. New screw may be a hair longer. But I don't think that's it. I put the old screw in and had the same issue.

I think I found the problem but have no idea how to fix it. The impeller isn't lining up flush.

It rubs on the bottom, you can feel/hear it when you spin it. What could cause that? Here are pictures of everything as I took it apart.

New seal

Before installation. Spins perfect with new bearings.

Do you mean the four through bolts? Because one of those snapped when unscrewing it. Was probably rusted stuck and just broke. I was able to get all 4 out, but the one snapped 3/4 down. Tried to use pliers to spin the rest out and it broke again. There is no way to get the rest out, as it broke flush. Could that be creating sag forcing the impeller to not sit flush?

If so only solution would be a new metal front plate right? Or am I just looking at a new motor? That part of the motor is exposed to the elements so not shocking it rusted. I could take it apart and show a picture of necessary. Wonder of I could use an extractor but and get that piece out and just get a new through bolt.

I'll post a pick of the broken bolt when i get a chance to see if anyone has a better idea of how to get it out. I want to make it clear that it is one of the 4 LONG bolts that go from the wiring end of the pump all the way to the front. They are probably 8inches long. it is not one of the four big bolts that bolt the metal end on the pump to the plastic seal plate.

Its broken off at the far end where it screws in, not the but side.

Let me know if there is anything i can take a picture of or look at because I am really ready to get this figured out.

What exactly am i searching for to replace? The front metal panel where the bolt is broke off in? What is that called when i call a motor shop? Would they just need the model of the motor?

IS THIS THE END BELL?

file.php

Just making sure i replace the right part. thanks for the help!
