That looks like either a DV-7 or a DVK-7 valve. Does it clamp on or bolt on? The DV-7 clamps on and the DVK-7 bolts on.
You can find parts for them, but they're getting harder to find.

It looks like it's a bolt on. How much are these? If I had to replace it. Can I use different valves with this sand filter or does it have to be the same model?
Here is a pic of the system. The PO cut the original return line and connected a PVC pipe that runs into the pool on top of the deck. (pipe not shown)

That's a DVK-7. You can buy a repair kit for it for less than $50. Just search for "DVK-7 parts" and you'll find them. You can also buy the complete valve.
