Hello..I'm a new pool owner of a 24' octagon inground pool with sand filter. Pool was working with no problems until I back washed this morning and now I have lost prime to the pump and cannot figure out how to get the system working again. I appreciate any ideas...thanks. Jerry
Pump not priming

I fill the basket up on the pump. I cleaned out both filter basket and skimmer basket. Pump comes on, impeller spins, empties basket but no water coming from lines back into pump filter
It sounds like You have a suction side air leak. Somewhere between the pump and the skimmer(s), air is being sucked into the system. Find that leak and your priming issues will be solved.
That's the problem...either the pipes are under ground or underneath a deck that I will need to take out before I can even trace the line
Did you check to see if your pump basket lid was sealed tight. Open it up lubricate the o ring while checking for kinks or defects
