More Chlorine required to maintain higher FC?

Hey all,

I've been pondering something, and was wondering the answer:

Lets say I have two identical pools,
Pool "A" has FC=4, CYA=40
Pool "B" has FC=8, CYA=70

I'm referring to ideal levels, listed on the FC/CYA chart here http://www.troublefreepool.com/pool-school/chlorine_cya_chart_shock

Question: Will it require more chlorine to maintain Pool "B" at 8 FC, than maintain Pool "A" at 3 FC? I guess the real question is does chlorine leak out of a pool faster at higher levels?

Actually the opposite it true...Pool "B" should consume less chlorine over time.

Although 70 CYA is a bit high especially when you have to SLAM
