I was going to put one in but decided instead that I would look into the removable bar stools instead. They aren't as aesthetically pleasing, but they're very practical and can be removed which negates an in-floor cleaning system and also means they don't take up space in the pool when not needed. A good compromise perhaps.
My friend has a swim up bar in his pool and the builder installed his cleaner opposite from the bar stools. So basically they just made sure the cleaner would not be able to get caught by making sure the cleaner hose was not long enough. It gets everywhere else in the pool.
I wouldn't have a swim-up bar. I'd want to make people get out of the pool periodically...and while they're out to get a fresh drink, they can use the bathroom.
