Sorry newbie question - Is the salt water generator and sand filter the best option for the least amount of post install work?

In my opinion the sand filters are pretty easy no fuss compared to DE but I have never used anything but Sand.
I don't have an SWG and cannot compare.

I think the SWG requires less work than manually adding chlorine every day. I still check the chlorine level daily, and on occasion have to add a small amount using bleach but overall I'm happy with the SWG.

Oh and the sand filter is awesome. Clean the skimmer when it gets debris in it and every once in awhile backwash. I'm on day 10 with no backwash and pressure hasn't risen very much so...very little work in my opinion.
