Question about shocking

I am waiting on my TF-100 to arrive and while studying the site - a question came to mind. While going through the shocking process, do I need to concern myself with the other readings (ph, TA, etc.)? Or do I simply need to focus on FC before moving on to adjust the others?

New to site and thankful for your help.

TA needs to be above 50 and pH should be in the low to mid 7's before starting the shock process.

OK thank you. So step one is to get TA and ph within those ranges - then proceed to shocking? I hadn't read that anywhere so I really appreciate your help. This site is very helpful to a newbie like myself.
