CYA-Is there a quicker way

Is there a quicker way to dissolve CYA into the water?
I am currently trying the 'sock' in each skimmer basket method.
I need to add like 13 lbs and I think this may take until fall. :x

Are you leaving your pump on 24/7? If not it may not be good to leave it sitting in the Skimmer. The other option is hanging the socks in front of the returns.

In either case, you cab give the socks a squeeze every time you walk by to help it dissolve out of the sock.

Leaving it in the skimmer is fine, it isn't that acidic.

In the skimmer it should be gone from the sock in one to three days.

I just dump it right in the skimmer (slowly) and let it get caught in the filter. If you dump too fast it can choke up the pump, but it won't take til fall this way Just make sure you don't need to clean your filter for the next week or so.

Just remember to trust the amount you have added, it can take a week or more for it to show up on the tests.
