Summer is here and it's just about time for our family beach vacation. My pool has been crystal clear and numbers have been perfect and I'd love nothing more than to come home to the same sparkling water. Should I just bring it up to shock level with bleach and let it run 24/7?

Do you manually dose it? If so, shock level will probably work. Better if somebody could just add a typical amount every day or a couple of times while you are gone.
Yes, manual dosing. The only person I would really trust to do that is my mom who is going on vacation with us.
I always measure my loss ppm per day and bring it to shock the morning of me leaving and then leave directions for a friend who adds maybe another jug of 8.25 day 5
For you I'd just bring it to shock level since you have no one to trust. And in all honestly, depending if you have a sock(in the skimmer) I'd leave it running 24/7
I left last Tuesday for a week. I brought mine to shock level the Monday night before, and arrived home this morning to no problems.
Depends on what your cya is. I just left for 3 days and mine was 20 so I just threw a few pucks in the floater.

Before I had automation, I would throw some pucks in a floater. There is no way 4 days of pucks are going to cause a drastic change in CYA.
