Can pool be covered during shock time?

Can I cover the pool during shock time to minimize chlorine lost?
I think I have read somewhere that it should be ventilated, not sure tough.

High chlorine levels will degrade a solar cover and make it brittle. Sunlight helps break down CC. I'm sure there are other reasons, but sunlight should only account for 2-4ppm loss of FC per day if your CYA level is 30ppm or higher.

And you want the CC to disperse. Sun and wind is needed.
