I am looking for a simple timer. I don't really want to hardwire anything. I have a 1.5 HP pump. You folks have any ideas where I could get a timer like this?

Most any big box stores will have a simple plug in timer. It probably won't last too many years running a pump load but they're cheap.
Why not do it right and install the correct mechanical timer? For about $100 an electrician will put one in and its good for the life of the pool plus you wont burn down your house. Pool=lots of water bad electrical job+water=danger!
