    swimmable FC?

I have a rather high CYA of 80. As such my chlorine level is taking a while to drop. A this high of a CYA level, how high of a chlorine level is swimmable? I am at FC 16 now.

You can swim up to shock level for your CYA. You can use the Pool Calc or the chlorine/cya chart to determine what that is.

Your target FC is between 6 and 9. The shock level for a CYA of 80 is 31. A level of 16 should be fine for swimming.

Thanks, I just wasn't sure how far over target was safe or prudent.

As long as you are under shock value for your CYA, you are fine to swim.
