I have water leaking from my multi-port valve from the extra port that has a plug in it. Do I need to just replace the spider gasket or can you replace the plug maybe? if so how?

You can replace the plug but the correct way to fix it is to replace the spider gasket. Replacing the plug is just using a band-aid to cover up a bigger problem. The spider gasket is pretty easy to replace and you'll know the job is done right.
