    Pool Cover While Filter Running?

Got a storm coming & wondering if I can have the pool cover on over-night while the filter is running? What worries me is our pool cover dips into the water & am afraid the strainer will suck it up over-night.

My solar cover has been on for 3 weeks now with the filter running.

I run my filter and my Polaris with the solar cover on. I haven't had any problems with it being sucked into the strainer.
