New Pool Questions

Going on week 3 with water in the new pool. Chlorine seems to drop overnight, from 3ppm to 1.5ppm, is this a normal drop? Also bought bleach at Home Depot, it's their brand, Germicidal Bleach, but I can't tell if its 8.25% or 10% strength. Using pool math, if it's 8.25%, it suggest to add 32 oz to bring my FC level up to 3ppm. My test results are:

FC 1.5ppm
CC Less than .5ppm
PH 7.4
TA 225
CH 70
CYA 40

I am making progess with lowering the TA, 2 days ago I was at 260. My PH shoots up over 8 after a couple of days, so I am having to use alot of acid to keep it normal. Is this standard with a new pool?

That means you have something in your water consuming your chlorine. You need to SLAM it.
