    Chlorine smell during SLAM

CC is 0. CYA is right at 30ppm so I've been maintaining a TC level of around 9-11ppm. Is it normal to smell the liquid chlorine during a slam?

The smell isn't chlorine, but chloramines which is used chlorine and will show up as CCs. You should maintain a FC amount of 12 for your CYA: Pool School - Chlorine / CYA Chart

Sunlight and more bleach will help dissipate the smell.
