    Raypak 406A hearted not working

5 year old heater. Worked 2 weeks ago. When it comes on, goes to CFH but does not click or seem to do anything to ignite - then goes to CLK.

CLK is for the clock circuit on the board which is hardly ever used by a residential user. So with that said, sounds like the system board is bad and needs to be replaced.

Looks like problem is loose wire in Jandy 6586 (dual heater board). I ordered a new one, but I wonder if this is easy to fix?

How did you determine that this was the affected part causing the issue?

Did you disconnect the wire from the controller to the heater and then take the heater out of bypass mode and test?

Not the most scientific way, but (a) I noticed the contacts on the old 6586 looked loved brown and clip was loose; (b) jiggling the clip would get the heater to work for short periods of time, then it would stop; and the clincher was (c) as soon as I put new board in, spa heater started working perfectly throughout weekend.

Now I have an extra but damaged 6586
