Pump and equipment got turned on Tuesday this week, they added a handful of chemicals and there coming back tomorrow to go over stuff and re-brush etc.Paver Company came back and wanted to know if we wanted to "SEAL" the decking. Basically they told my wife they pressure wash, Refill it with more sand, brush it, wash it and then seal it.. Not sure what that means or even if its necessary. Does anyone know what there wanting to do, what it is exactly and is it worth it or needed. They quoted us $950.00

All of the stuff they said they would do should have already been done except the "sealing". What will they seal it with and how much do they think they will use? When you find that out you can price the materials and see if it is worth it.

Just ran across the forum and was reading through your build... looks gorgeous! My wife and I are working with PB's for quotes currently and have talked with some of the same folks you did. This far the experiences have been pretty hit or miss... would you mind PM'ing me with the name of the company you went with? The renderings look similar to some we've already received...

FWIW, on the sealing thing, I haven't heard of that being used in our area. Friends of mine up north (salt/rust belt) seal their pavers but it's not something I'm familiar with in the south.
