DE grid replacement

Hey everybody,

Yesterday I opened up the top of my pentair filter and noticed that some of my grids had small tears after doing a backwash. I'm gonna replace them but wanted to ask if there was a difference in quality between pleatco vs unicell DE grids. I found a set of pleatco grids for around 89 and unicell for 110. The stock pentair grids have lasted me an extremely long time and I would expect the same from the replacement set. Thanks in advance for the info guys much appreciated.

I've never seen a difference. Those using cartridge type filters report a big difference between brands, but with DE, not so much. Of course since you can go several years between replacements on DE type, it could be hard to compare.
