CC of 50

Passed OCLT test last night. Had a strong chlorine smell Sunday night thru Monday, it has gone away. I think something died, now it must go away.

Planning on letting FC drift back to normal levels, balance out water, enjoy pool for a bit. Do Borate treatment in a few weeks.

Since passing OCLT test 2 mornings ago, my FC has risen from 27.5 to 31. Have not added any bleach, SWG is off at the breaker, and it has been 90 degrees here and sunny. Cleaning filter and brushing pool daily.

Any ideas why it is rising?

My numbers:
ph - 7.8
fc - 26 (up 2ppm since 8am, no chlorine added, SWG off at breaker)
cc - .5
ch - 400
ta - 70
cya - 60-70

Pool store numbers
ph - 7.8
fc - 5.0
cc - 0.0
ch - 325
ta - 90
cya - 110
phosphates 2500

Think I need to order new kit, numbers vary too much.

It is a bit too high... let it drop below 24 to be safe.
On the bright side you're done slamming :)
FC will not rise on its own - if no chlorine is being added then its an inconsistency in your testing procedures, some sort of fluke. I wouldn't worry too much about it. :)
