    Acid Wash and lights-good idea?

My main concern would be the light which can be removed from the pool, but what about the niche? Any damage with this method?

I took mine out and cleaned out the inside of the housing and it didn't hurt anything. But, then again, my light falls out of the wall all the time anyway (yeah I need to try some of the good underwater epoxy)
