sand filter pump

New pool owner here! I bought a used 16x32x4' rectangle AGP and installed at my home. It came with everything, including a Hayward S210T sand filter with 200 lbs sand and a Hayward Power Flo Matrix pump. The pump is pretty old, rusty and it needs a jump-start with the screwdriver every time I go...

Is it possible to patch a leak on my above-ground sand filter housing? Leak is at the seam of the outside wall of the sand filter where it tapers up and meets the valve. Thanks!

Hi! I recently got an Intex Prism 12’ x 30”, which has 2 lines to the pump and 1 line to the pool. Upon turning the pump on, the portion of the valve that connects to the line to the pool cracked and split. Has anyone experienced this? If I get a replacement valve, will it happen again?
