I just finished SLAMing and it didn't resolve until I took the decorative plastic strips off the steps. The strips covered up the screws that held the steps in place. The lesson is that you have to expose everything and scrub, scrub, scrub.

You will be converted to the BBB method if you follow the advice given. Buy lots of bleach, you are going to need it to get your chlorine level up and to maintain it while it does its thing. Spend a couple hours at pool school.

WalMart now sells a 10% liquid chlorine product in the pool section. Unit for unit it is less expensive than their store brand.

You should be either adding muriatic acid OR Borax to adjust pH. Acid to lower it and Borax to raise it.

Anyone out there having trouble finding 20 Mule Team Borax? I have been to two different WalMarts three separate times over the past three weeks and there in none to be had. The space where it is supposed to be is empty. Just my luck?

The reason the bubbles are not being produced is because the LCD and the circuit board are faulty and not sending any current to the cell. No current, no bubbles. The cell is fine.

I have had mine only for about 8 months. After the fix I've not had any problems. It ran at a low level over the winter. Now that the weather is warming up I am in the middle of adjusting its output to keep the chlorine level appropriate.

With the faulty display, the numbers still can be set at any percentage. The problem is that the bar display does not confirm the output at which it is set. The true output is 10% or less with the bad LCD. So, you really won't know how much to run your SWG until you get the proper functioning...

To answer your original question; yes there are issues with the LCD. It is not a hard switch out. You are probably not getting any output now looking at the numbers you posted. Your FC needs to be at least 3.

Some pollen can be quite small and not get trapped in a sand filter. Try adding some diatomaceous earth to your filter to help trap smaller particles and make your water sparkle.

I recently installed one. When the readout shows only one or two bars, you need a new LCD readout. The bars don't change no matter what it is set on. That is what happened to me. Customer service will send one out and it is a fairly easy install. They require that you send the old one back.

Certainly worth the effort.

No regrets. No more shlepping bleach from store to car, car to garage, garage to pool. No more spilling bleach on clothes and ruining them. Now testing less and maintaining great numbers.

That same problem happened to me on my CPSC36. Those two wires were "crossed" on delivery.

The inlet and outlet are separated by about 12 inches. You would need that plus a little extra to accomodate each elbow.

i think the gentleman is talking about how to hook up/wire his SWG control unit to his pump's power supply. Is it right to hook up the red wire from the SWG to his pump's white wire? I think that is what I did on my install.
