Please help with my SPA/Fountain plumbing design!

Now that sounds like a fun experiment. I just might try it this weekend! In the meantime, I'll measure the diameter of the hole in the jet.

Please help with my SPA/Fountain plumbing design!

My apologies, I meant to say 1/4" jets, not 1/4" pipes. He is using 2" pipes throughout the construction. In order to decide whether 1/4" meets my needs, I'd like to measure the size of the jets in my spa here as I'm happy with the flow and power of the jets. Is there a easy way to do that on...

Please help with my SPA/Fountain plumbing design!

Spoke to my PB today and he's planning on using 1/4" pipes to the 8 jets in the spa. Based on this table, that would require just 64 GPM of flow which he believes is no problem from a 3HP VSP going thru a filter and SWG. Is there a downside to using 1/4" pipe or should I insist on a larger...

Please help with my SPA/Fountain plumbing design!

Incredibly helpful responses....thank you Allen. My spa in NJ shares the jets for both the filter/heater returns as well as the dedicated Jet pump and I haven't noticed any downsides to that approach. Can you please elaborate on your recommendation? Re Maintenance: I know it's risky to...

Please help with my SPA/Fountain plumbing design!

Planning a SPA/Fountain addition to second home in Florida. Spa is 6'x6' and spills into a shallow (18") fountain/pond that has a couple of built in steps to cross over. Pool builder is a Pentair guy. Please help me with the following: 1) Is the separate Spa Jet Pump necessary or would a...

    OmniLogic Pool/Spa setup question

Yes, you want to answer shared on the filter pump and heater. The pump for the spa jets and blower motor (if you have one) would be set up as additional features that are specific to the spa.

New Install of Omni Hub - AquaRite Integration?

I was able to solve the problem described above so I figured I'll post it in case anyone runs into this same issue in the future. There is a jumper on the main PCB of the Aquarite (behind the display PCB) that selects between PRIMARY and SECONDARY. On my unit, this jumper was not making...

New Install of Omni Hub - AquaRite Integration?

I have an Omnilogic panel with a T-15 cell and a separate Aquarite panel with a second T-15 cell for a 50K gallon pool. The Aquarite was configured on a separate relay that was interlocked with the pool filter pump so that it could not come on unless the pool filter pump was on. This...

Are Hayward Colorlogic lights really this bad?!?

Thanks. I had seen a link to this company in a previous post. Are their lights known to be better than either Hayward or Pentair?

Are Hayward Colorlogic lights really this bad?!?

Between my pool and spa, I have 5 Hayward Colorlogic lights of different sizes. Two were previously replaced under warranty (parts only, not labor) and 4 out of 5 are now dead. At almost $1000 each, it’s hard to justify replacing them. The latest OmniLogic firmware claims to now support...

How are you storing your robots?

The power supply, which is outside the pool, converts AC voltage to DC. DC voltage below 48VDC is perfectly safe so no worries leaving the robot in the pool.

    OmniLogic with Two Ecostar pumps

Although RS-485 can be successfully transmitted using multiple types of media, it should be used with twisted pair. Given that distance of 125 ft, you should really try to use Cat5 or some other twisted pair wire and see if you get different results.

New Hayward Pool/spa. Question about spa

My spa has a secondary motor that can be turned on to supplement the Filter pump and give that extra jacuzzi type pressure that you are looking for. On the OmniLogic app, it should appear as a “Feature” under the Spa menu. However, You should get pretty decent pressure from just the Filter...

    MyDolphin+ App Questions

Thanks for that response. I didn’t realize that the “Repeat Weekly” statement at the top was an option and had a small checkbox in front of it. So that explains why I was losing my cleaning cycles regularly. It sure would be nice to have a log or history of previous cleaning cycles. Given...

    MyDolphin+ App Questions

I have an S300i and I regularly use the app to adjust my schedules and start my robot remotely. I find that my scheduled cleaning cycles get deleted regularly. I normally run 4 cleaning cycles per week and every once in a while when I log in, I find that they have been reset to just once a...

    Omnilogic startup question

You can Configure the system and just keep your breakers off so that non of the pumps get turned on by mistake. You can also NOT Enable your schedules, but it’s probably safer to just keep the breakers off until your pool is up and running.

Hayward Omnilogic Firmware 3.0 and controlling an AquaRite SWG

Anyone know the details of the "AquaRite converter board" that is apparently needed to allow an Omnilogic to control a separate AquaRite SWG. I have two SWG's in my system - one connected to the Omnilogic and the other connected to a separate Aquarite, which is powered on the same relay as my...

Hayward Phantom stuck in top mode

I know this an old thread but I'm posting this in case someone has this problem and is looking for a possible solution. A previous poster (BluesBrother) has identified the source of the problem. Namely, that one of the snap-on plastic caps on either end of the manifold chamber cracks and causes...

Marina won't pick up their phone. Can't get a hold of anyone.

I just bought an S300i today. Called a couple of times and got their answering machine but got through eventually. They are a storefront so it’s understandable. Just keep trying.

Time for a Robotic Cleaner. Which one?

I went ahead and ordered the S300i from Marina Pool and Spa. It's $250 less than the M500 and comes with a 2-year warranty instead of 3. The M500 is supposed to be a better cleaner because it has an extra center brush. The S300i has the new "quick water release" feature and the multi-layer...

Time for a Robotic Cleaner. Which one?

My Hayward Phantom is on its last leg and only skims the pool surface (can’t get it to clean the floor) so it’s time for a new cleaner. Reading the recommendations on this forum, I’ve convinced myself to try a robotic cleaner. I’m surprised at how many different models are available from just...

    Help finding replacement Cartridge

I'm glad that my post was able to help out. I think you'll be really happy with the Pleatco filters. They seem to be lasting better than the original Haywards.

    Help finding replacement Cartridge

I was able to find the right replacement cartridges for my Hayward Swimclear Model C6060BHMB. They are the Pleatco PA131 cartridges which are available in singles or 4-packs. I purchased a 4-pack from Backyard Superstore on eBay.

    Extend AquaRite T-Cell Cable
