I know there is debate about where to put the vacuum break... In the Heliocol install manual it is actually positioned near the pool equipment. I am going to install it on the roof on the panels though. That's where it makes most sense to me anyways. Just FYI. Oh p.s. Parts ordered...

Thats what I was thinking as well. Just run it in single speed march-nov. Based on everything ive read the automated solar valve is a must to maximize the efficiency of the panels.

I think thats the plan for now. 4 panels and see what happens. I wasnt going to use a controller because i would have to use my VSP as a single speed because it can not be controlled by a solar controller. If anyone has any creative ideas to get around that issue im all ears. Otherwise...

I was finally able to measure today. I can fit 4 panels on the south facing roof. According to my builders specs the pool square footage is 393 of unscreened pool 4 panels gives me 192 sq ft. I could mount 3 additional panels on an east facing roof. Opinions??? Sent from my iPhone using...

As you can see in the picture ours goes into the swimming area quite a bit. The only thing I would have changed would have been to pull the shelf out of the swimming area a bit more. Created a more drastic curve there and brought the shelf further into the deck area. Does that make sense...
