This mornings readings-anything here to worry about?

"I wouldn't give a bean, to be a fancy pants Marine...." Yes Sir, Yippee! I adjusted my TA and dropped my pH low then added the Borates. Then added more acid to compensate for the rise the Borates provided. But now.... My pH is so much more stable and I couldn't be happier. Because muriatic...

    Chlorine Drop Test

Happens to me all the time. Seems to be more cloudy the warmer it is outside. I keep my kit in an outdoor storage bin. Not sure if reagents react differently based on their own temperature. On cooler days, the water returns to clear.

This mornings readings-anything here to worry about?

I personally would recommend adding Borates to your pool. I also had rising pH problems, adding acid almost everyday. The Borates have stabilized my pH considerably and I have been adding much less acid.

Best way to warm the pool as much as possible?

I have a blue solar cover. Looks almost like bubble wrap. Works really well in full sunlight. I left it on two days in a row in 100+ degree weather. Ended up with a 94 degree pool. That was way too hot. I use it to keep my pool in the 82-84 degree range. Feels awesome!!

    Solar Cover

I recently put my solar cover on my pool. I am hoping to extend this year's swimming season a bit. My question is, Can I leave the solar cover on the pool until my family and I swim? Or should it come off for a bit every day? I've had it on for about three full days now. With the cover on I'm...

Looking for a cost effective music system for covered patio.

I purchased a pair of Russound outdoor speakers from Best Buy for about $150. They are MAGNOLIA certified through that store. I have them connected to my A/V receiver that I use for my home theater. That way I can just plug in my iPod or iPhone and use iTunes radio and listen to my purchased...

    pool pump

I have a Pentair intellipro as well. I like it because it is new and fancy with cool buttons to push. My pump runs at about 1100 rpm most of the time and the display shows it using about 120watts or so. I turn it up to about 2700rpm to run the infloor cleaning system for a few hours a day. The...

    hth liquid chlorinator

Hello, guys and gals! Recently purchased a couple boxes of HTH liquid chlorinator at the Walmart because they were $6 a box. Box read 10% Sodium Hypochlorite. Is there any difference between this brand and the others I can buy at the local Leslie's or Champion pool stores? The reason I ask is...

Have about 6 bags on Non - Chlorine Shock Left

I found small dead animals in my pool three days in a row (House Finch, Field Mouse, then another Field Mouse). recent partial refill

Thanks for the reply. I'm assuming my CYA will drop a bit with the fresh 2000 gallons as well as my CH. I'll test thoroughly tomorrow to see how much it has dropped. As far as CH is concerned, I was hoping to bring it up a bit so that I can keep my pH around 7.4. I read somewhere on this forum...
