Hopefully they fix this as the button was put there to easily turn the heater on and off. If it works in service mode it should work in auto mode as well. This works fine with the screenlogic app. I guess this would be the best and easiest way to turn the heater on/off manually.

Thanks for the responses, I have an old pump that draws 13.8 amps but I am looking at a new pump. Superflo has 8.8 amps and the whisperflo has 10.8 amps so I think that either of them will work with the heater.
