I'm guessing that if you can plug up the other side or the valve(inside the pool) you could do it while the water is in the pool. BTW the amazon link showed this valve as well which maybe helpful...

Juts an FYI, a new hot springs Envoy has a street price of around $12K so if the thing works, pumps(3) heater and controls it sounds like a steel, also contact the local dealer and get an understanding of replacement parts cost

Hot springs offers a Salt system option thats called ACE.. It's pricey with a street cost around $1400 & a cell life expectancy of 2/3+ years @ $600. I have read mixed owner reviews about the system as well as some have found posts about replacement cell's etc at lower costs Ive have reviewed...

Well after 20 years of covering the equipment i have yet to experience any rusting problems. My #1 problem has been mice eating up the combustion chamber of the heater, which is very hard to find & cost big $'s. I also dont cover my BBQ, but its because i use it all year round!:cool:

I put my Pump in the Garage and cover all the rest of the equipment with a tarp. I also put some mouse baits in the heater as they like to make it a winter home.

True RV antifreeze is mostly used for winterizing potable(drinking, washing) water plumbing systems in RVs & boats. So it's safe to ingest in small quantities & no issue with pool water. That being said I agree with banditig that when you open the pool try to pump it to waste.

I think that's the key for closing things up. For me it's just too early as the temp's are higher than 60 and it's just a little more Bleach to keep things right till I close

With the assumption that you're going to have to patch the holes left in the concrete anyway, why not chip around the posts and see if there are anchors with bolts underneath the concrete that may have been covered up?

My Loop-Loc cover came with the tool with an Allen key stored in the tool. Getting a T handle Allen key or drill bit is the way to go. Edit: sry Marty, thought you were the OP -OOP's

Not sure of 'Model type' but the cover allows water to pass threw it, I'm guessing it's a smart mesh. Some pine needles will get threw it but it keeps everything else out
