    Milky water after Metal Magic

What could the milky looking stuff be in my water and filters? It was even settled on the bottom of the pool this am. I put 4 qrts MM in 2 days ago trying to get rid of some stains that I've had for a long time and kept ignoring:hammer: I did lose 50ppm calcium doing this. Still have the dang...

    Stains respond to NOTHING

Another question. Will the sequestrant affect my CH #'s??? BTW. My numbers are usually spot on according to TFP. These #'s are just because I'm dealing with these dang stains. I've always had a pH of about 7.6. Should I try to keep that down some due to the staining? If so what??

    Stains respond to NOTHING

Is it possible to remove them(if it is old copper) or is this something I will have to live with and continue to use sequestrant?? Didn't know that about lemons. But crushed vit C in a sock didn't budge them either.

    Stains respond to NOTHING

But wouldn't the AA, lemon, or puck at least made some sort of difference if it were any of those stains???? - - - Updated - - - I think I've read every thread on here about stains:cyclopsani: Seems most get results with citric acid or pucks. But noooooooooo, not me.

    Stains respond to NOTHING

One winter I let my CH get down to around 100. Maybe poor gelcoat? Just not sure why they wouldn't respond to Vit C nor the puck?? What would the stain kit tell me that I don't already know? They feel rough compare to the rest of the pool surface. Almost like hardened tar is the best way I can...

    Stains respond to NOTHING

Hey y'all. Haven't posted in awhile but you probably knew I would be back:) A few years ago I noticed a couple of stains in the shallow end. They did not respond to Vit C nor pucks. With my pool surface I was the only one who noticed so I let it go. Probably should have added a sequestrant but...

    Savannah Berry update :)

Just saw Savannah on The Voice. During her intro I'm thinking, that's Sean's daughter from TFP. She was fabulous  I love the way they were fighting over her :goodjob: Kinda felt like she would go with Blake. Good luck Savannah :whoot:

Good luck Mats. As meticulous as you were about building that pool, I just can't imagine it being something you did. Also, someone on this forum would have caught a mistake if you weredoing something wrong. There's just way too many smart people around here. And you are one of them :goodjob:

    Do I need a new ladder???(pic)

Found out from the builder that it is a S.R. Smith ladder. Looked on their website and found this: This warranty specifically excludes fading of materials, microbiological staining of diving boards or pool slides and rust or corrosion of any metallic products or parts. The search for a new...

    Do I need a new ladder???(pic)

Hey Ted, I agree with you 100% on the trouble I had with this company. I called Family Leisure and the girl went and asked someone if the ladder was in warranty and came back and said it was not covered. Imagine that  I don't know what else to do. I'm looking around the internet for a...

Larry, I'm not sure what you mean by steps :?: I think I just need to replace the ladder, if I don't run into the problem Mickey did. Mine appear to be pretty standard, but then I haven't done any measuring either.

    Do I need a new ladder???(pic)

It appears Ultimate only makes ladders for AG pools. I have an IG. It looks like I will be getting a 304 grade ladder. I haven't seen any of the 316 or 317 online that specifically says 316 or 317, but I have a feeling they are going to be too expensive :( But then when I think about it, if...

    What's your current pool temp?

Mine was 90 yesterday around 6pm. Cooled of to 87 this morning. 8-) The weather in Tn. has been crazy this spring. I added water Saturday because of evaporation and had to drain water Sunday due to a suprise storm that dumped 2" of rain in one hour :hammer:

    Do I need a new ladder???(pic)

Thanks Dave. If I replace it with a new SS, how do I know if it is a good quality SS ladder, unlike this one that came with my pool??? If I went with the plastic encased one, seems the plastic would break down fairly quickly in a SWCG pool along with the sun exposure. What say you?????
