It's going to depend a bit on amount of sun vs shade your pool gets, CYA levels etc, but the norm seems to be 2-4 ppm of FC per day. For a 14,000 gallon pool and 8.25% bleach that would be somewhere around 1/2 gallon per day (range would be ~40-80 oz per day).

Once the ammonia is out of the way, I imagine the pool should behave "normally". The remaining cloudiness/algae doesn't sound too bad so getting it all killed by the weekend seems possible, but I guess at that point it's going to depend on how effective the filter is. Maybe take the pH a bit...

Good point -- the cost of de-swamping should really be charged to the previous pool maintenance methodology. The idea of TFPC is to provide a sustainable maintenance method (esp. managing CYA levels) that does NOT lead to periodic turning-into-a-swamp excitement.
