Well, I got it to a drip with paste and some epoxy around. Went ahead and ordered a new valve, so hopefully this will allow me to hobble along until that comes in 2 days. Thanks for the advise guys.

Hello! Just a couple questions about the pic below. This is one of my 2 return lines. Why would it have 3 lines branching out? I have 2 return lines going into the ground, does that mean this line is feeding 3 of the returns? Also, there is a break on that first elbow, and it's right up...

I found the break. I have 2 lines going into the ground that feed 4 returns. One of those 2 is cracked. Can I just shut off that cracked line, and run the pump using only the other line feeding 2 returns? Or will bad things happen?

Thanks mikemass. The equipment/pump/filter is all above the water line. If the break is at the first underground elbow like I thought, that would be below the water line.

Ah, so my assumption in #1 is not all that safe. I REALLY hope it's not under concrete as well. If I can find the break though, I take it I do need to plug the returns? Thanks for the response!

Hello! I'm getting my pool started way late this year due to getting a fence destroyed by a storm fixed before opening. It's incredibly, incredibly green. :( When I fired up the pump, water started flooding up from underground around where the return lines go into the ground. Questions...

So far it's working with no leaks. If it lasts a year it will have been more cost effective than the pool store. Thanks everyone for your help! On my way to near zero reliance on the dang pool store.
