Update Ph 7.3 FC 14.5 ( <1 ppm overnight ) CC 1 Having to backwash filter ever 2 hrs or so. Literally after 2 hrs there's barely any water moving at all. With no chlorine being consumed overnight, CC in check, all other levels being good, do I have too much **** in my water to filter?

To be honest, the most practical way of gauging when to clean is to monitor the output force of the water coming out compared to the force when it's clean.

Get the TF100 kit, it'll last you at least 2 seasons. Research the BBB method. You'll be golden.

Just buy a 1/8" npt Guage and drill tap with some pipe dope. If there's not enough meat where you can put it, just drill a hole and thread a nut on the back side with a piece of rubber creating like a gasket.
