Creating a sand/beach area next to pool? Anyone have experience?

We have play sand next to the pool and LOVE it! Since we have a beach entry pool, sand was a must in our design to complete the look :). The Dolphin robot has no problem picking up the sand - so far. We don't have cats so can't comment on that. Oh, be sure to put the weed block on the bottom...

    Need recommendation for slippery deck

Hi! We have travertine tiles on the patio that were sealed with Miracle 511 sealer. This has turned into quite a dangerous area when enough wet kids drip on it as they need to go into the house to use the bathroom. So much so that I have to lay out towels and rugs every time we have a pool...

Need recommendation for "no slip" for travertine

It's honed/filled travertine, matte finish - thought that'd be ok but then contractor sealed it and I think that added to the problem since water doesn't penetrate into the stone easily. Hubby said he found something listed at HomeDepot online that is an edging type product which will take off...

Need recommendation for "no slip" for travertine

I have put rugs out there especially in front of the doors (5 sets of French doors) but it's such a long area that water between rugs are the danger zones. Not so much my kids but even adults since we have pool parties with lots of people needing to go use the bathrooms. I didn't think it'd be...

Need recommendation for "no slip" for travertine

Hi, we have travertine tiles on the back patio which is great except when wet kids drip all over and then it's very slippery and dangerous. I have searched and found "no slip" products that you can use on the stone, even sealed stone which ours is. Was wondering if anybody have experience with...

    Bubblers

We have 2 bubblers and they are totally flush. Kids love playing around them and I love the look! It does take extra plumbing so maybe he just doesn't want to bother?

Beach entry pool-silver quartzite tiles with water seepage problem

Well Patrick, I was letting your comment sink in- maybe i'll just get used to it and enjoy. Then today the pool maintenance guy (not ready for hubby to take over) shows up using powder acid to clean the lime or whatever on the beach entry. And he says- didn't they seal this? WAAH :(

    Let's talk depth

Ours is 4' to 9.5' for diving board, also 26'x12' beach entry where it goes from dry deck to 6" water out at 12'. Our last pool was 8' deep for jumping off the waterfall grotto and the 32' high speed rock slide. Because we could still touch bottom when jumping in, I made sure this pool is deeper...

    new pool build Phoenix-PICS

It actually gets cold in Phoenix-no!? My hubby went to ASU- he said the pools were always too hot there, you'd have to refrigerate the water LOL! The seeping still bugs me cuz every time I look out there my eyes draw to it and I wonder if we should've been warned! Maybe eventually I'll just...
