    Rebuild Stenner Pump?

Hi All, I stopped using my Stenner a couple years ago and it's been sitting out in the elements in Arizona, completely unprotected, and no longer turns on. I know, I should've thrown it in the garage . Anyway, does anyone have experience with rebuilding? I know parts are available but I...

So that's why my Stenner hose kept popping out!

I don't think I've ever checked my injector, so it took about 3 years to completely close up. I will now regularly check it and clean it out before it becomes a big problem. As far as other maintenance I've had to replace the phenolic gear several times due to water/rust in the pump and the...

So that's why my Stenner hose kept popping out!

I thought this was just calcium since ours is pretty high. But, I did notice some white sediment in the bleach tank so I cleaned it out. I'll have to read up on this "white stuff." Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk

So that's why my Stenner hose kept popping out!

As long as the pump is off I can easily unscrew the injector to check it. How would the ball valve help? Thanks. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk

So that's why my Stenner hose kept popping out!

I noticed the hose popping out of my Stenner pump a couple times so I figured I should perform some maintenance. I cleaned out the internals, re-greased, replaced the pump tube, ferrules, etc. After all that the hose still popped off so I figured it was pressure build up. Duh. So, I finally...

    Pebble Staining Issue

I tried the trichlor tab and it removed the stain. Then I noticed the chlorine was reading zero. So, either the pool is eating it up or my stenner wasn't really dosing yesterday. Manually added chlorine. Since the tablet removed the stain does this mean this is some kind of mold? Thanks.

    Pebble Staining Issue

Actually I just realized I tested our tap water, which is softened. Duh, I'll test from the outside tap. I'm pretty sure the calcium is normally pretty high. I do have a combo brush and have been using it. I'll do the tab test and report back.

    Pebble Staining Issue

Hi All, Our pool is a bit over a year old and maintaining levels has been pretty easy so far. I use a stenner to dose chlorine and do everything else manually. Just recently I noticed a lot of staining, it really seemed to creep up on us. I posted a picture where you can see the clean and...

    Stenner pump stopped working!

I think you're correct. There is actually some rust on the gears so some water must've made it's way into the pump. I believe the gear post and/or one of the other gears is stripped. I can see some burring on one of them. I have found that Stenner support is very easy to reach and very...

    Stenner pump stopped working!

Thanks for the feedback so far. I have the new style so it's easy to remove the cover using the clips. But once it's open I'm not really sure what to do/look at. I should hear back from US Water soon. I'll be sure to update this once I figure out what's going on.

    Stenner pump stopped working!

Hi All, Tonight I noticed that my stenner pump is no longer working. To be more specific, the pump motor turns on (makes noise), but the mechanism does not rotate. I've had the pump for less than a year. I was expecting some maintenance but this has me a bit worried. I'm using the...

A couple of pics of our Arizona pool

poderiopool, I think it's something with the soil. We're originally from OC/LA county area and seems like the Queens have no issues there at all. NoFear, it's all low voltage lighting. You're right, some of the lights are relatively close to the water's edge. Most of the lights are behind...

A couple of pics of our Arizona pool

BuckeyeChris, sorry to hear about your builder issues, but the pool looks awesome! I'm sure they'll get everything taken care of and soon you won't have to worry about it. I had heard they were a good builder but pool builders seems like cell phone providers. Some people love each one of them...

A couple of pics of our Arizona pool

We used Presidential Pools. So far no major problems with the fountains. One time one of them popped out but Presidential just came out popped a new one in. I suppose anything embedded into the pebble would be susceptible to the same issues (bubblers, in-floor cleaner heads, etc.). On this...

Thanks to everyone for the compliments! Pragmatic, I love your outdoor kitchen area and I wish we had room for something like that. Mrcarcrazy, your pool is looking good and I'm sure it'll all turn out great! Shane1, the queens have only been in our yard for about 8 months, but we have 15...

A couple of pics of our Arizona pool

The pool was finished last April and we now have the landscaping installed. I completed the landscape lighting with Volt lighting products. One of these days I'll post a list of all of the materials I used for that project. We also have some artificial turf, which you can't see in these pics...

New Pool in Arizona (new pics 12/3)

Re: New Pool in Arizona We also had way too much rock. Our biggest problem was that we wanted to change the rock color, so it was just a big mess. It all worked out OK, just a lot of work. I'll send you a PM about the travertine. In general we had some issues with the quality of the install.

New Pool in Arizona (new pics 12/3)

Re: New Pool in Arizona Cool, that's pretty exciting! Do you have landscape rock where your equipment will be placed, or anywhere between the equipment and pool? If so, you might want to move it out of the way. We had the builder move the rock out of the way for the pool dig, but they left...

Choosing Pool Lights Globrite or intellibright LED

Maybe I'm crazy but I thnk it would be nice to have 2 Intellibrites (one on each end of the pool), and one globrite on the sun shelf. We have two Intellibrites and can definitely say that one wouldn't have been enough. Our pool is a little longer than yours, at around 35'. Our shelf is a bit...

New Build Texas Hill Country *Updated Pics Coping 8/29 *

Re: Wahoo we're getting a Pool New Build Thoughts and Critiq Looking good. Is that a bubbler, or a fountain, on the step? We have a couple fountains on ours, and one in the spa. Personally, we like more than one just because then it seems more balanced. We also love our umbrella sleeves.

Opinions on Blue Square Q-360 In-floor cleaner?

Our valve is about 29 feet away from the edge. Seems like if you have good pressure, and you're running it long enough then it should be cleaning. How long are you running it and at what RPM? When you put your hand by the cleaning heads do you feel strong pressure? I think ours is doing ok...
